Solid Ash milking stool finished in bees wax to give a soft pale finish. The stools are inspired by the clean simple lines of Scandinavian design. Each piece is handmade my me to order, it is hand planed, smoothed with a cabinet scraper to give a fine finish. Hand cut tenons with contrasting wedges are used to secure the legs into position.
The stools can be used as a footstool, side table, plant stand, lamp stand, display and for many uses around the home. The natural grain and natural finish give warmth to any room in your home. They are easily maintained with a natural bees wax polish once a year, or can be refinished with varnishes, stains or painted.
The stools shown are made from solid Ash, Ash is a very strong timber with a colour that varies from a soft yellow to lighter shades of khaki and cream. The grain has a medium course structure but a soft smooth feel, knots are uncommon.
